A highly-lethal flu pandemic will strike, possibly soon, said West. "The 11 forms and checklists included in this manual will be invaluable as families plan and prepare for the upcoming flu season," West said. "The chapters on the special considerations for college students and senior citizens will be especially helpful in ensuring that family is safe, no matter how far away they are." Readers will learn pre-flu actions to do first, how the flu virus is spread, how to protect oneself in public during a pandemic and how to protect home and family when caring for someone with the flu. The book also addresses how to make a dehydration-fighting drink using only water, sugar and salt, how to care for babies and children with the flu, how to stock up on food, medical supplies and other essentials. The book includes information on how to prepare a church and its congregation for a serious pandemic and much, much more, West said. "How to Wage War Against A Flu Pandemic" is available at www.amazon.com. West grew up in Clarita and received a doctorate of jurisprudence from the University of Oklahoma. She has a bachelor of arts degree from East Central University in history and has always been fascinated by the effect of the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic on her Oklahoma ancestors, the United States and the world, she said.
