Our kids were undeterred. Santa was bringing them new sleds and they were going to have plenty of snow to enjoy. There was nothing else we could say.
Christmas morning, the kids woke us up early to go downstairs and see what Santa brought them.
They said, “Look out the window at the snow.” I couldn’t believe it when I looked out and saw about eight inches of snow on the ground with huge snowflakes continuing to fall. It was just what the kids had ordered.
We spent the day playing in the snow. The kids really broke in their new sleds with many trips down the hill. We also made a big snowman that was all white — no grass — just snow. It was the best Christmas we ever had.
