NORMAN — An art show to benefit victims of human trafficking and groups of people who are considered to be at high risk of being trafficked will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Wildwood Community Church, 1501 24th Ave. NE.
There will be a silent auction of paintings and photography donated by local artists, decorative items and Valentines for sale, books signed by a local author and four raffles.
All of the proceeds raised will go to Beautiful Dream Society, a shelter in the Oklahoma City area for women who have been rescued out of trafficking; Bethesda, a Norman agency that focuses on treatment of children who have been sexually abused; Stand In the Gap Ministries, which provides mentoring for young adults who have aged out of foster care but never connected with a family; and The Spero Project.
Each of the agencies will have displays that tell about their organization and representatives on hand to answer questions.
