NORMAN — John Biggs will speak Jan. 11, at the meeting of the Norman Galaxy of Writers, at the University Lutheran Center, 914 Elm Ave. in Norman.
Parking is in the rear, off Hoover Street. The meeting, from 10 a.m. to noon, is free to the public.
Biggs is a broad-spectrum fiction writer with about 40 stories published in journals that include “Kansas City Voices” and “Midwestern Gothic and Disturbed Digest.”
He was the grand-prize winner of the 80th annual Writer’s Digest competition, the third-prize winner of the 2011 Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition and the Crème de la Crème award winner at the 2012 Oklahoma Writers Foundation Inc. conference.
His topic for the Galaxy meeting will be short fiction.
