MOORE — Author Melva Noakes’ “April Mourning: The Story of the Murrah Building Day Care” takes readers back to the bombing incident that claimed more than a hundred lives. Her book is on its nationwide release this week.

The true story by Noakes, an America’s Kids Day Care Center operator, tells how time stood still in the aftermath of the bombing.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at tatepublishing.com/bookstore and by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Noakes lives in Moore with her husband. She has two children and five grandchildren, who encouraged her to tell her story.
