NORMAN — Norman Addiction Information & Counseling (NAIC), a United Way of Norman partner, will sponsor “Counseling for the Grieving and Bereaved” from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Dec. 6 at 215 W. Linn St.
Participants will learn to understand grief and its stages from a counseling perspective and develop skills for helping clients work through the stages of grief and the tasks of mourning.
The trainer is Shirley Beckenhauer, a licensed alcohol and drug counselor with NAIC.
The early bird registration is $90 but will increase to $110 after Nov. 27.
Six continuing education units are approved for licensed alcohol drug counselors, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, certified alcohol and drug counselors and certified prevention specialists.
