NORMAN — Friends of the Norman Library recently announced a used book drive to stock inventory for upcoming sales to benefit the Norman Public Library.
“All types of materials in good condition will be accepted,” said Simm Rudnick, book sale co-chair. There is a special call for better books, which includes recent books in very good condition, coffee table and gift books, art books, first editions, books signed by the author, OU Press books and anything about Native Americans and Western and Oklahoma history.
“We are also interested in CDs, DVDs, cookbooks, children’s books, recent college textbooks, and mass market paperbacks” said Lori Rudnick, book sale co-chair.
Donated books and materials should be packed flat in small boxes or bags and brought to the sorting center, 226 W. Gray St., between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The sorting center entrance is through the double doors on the east side of the building. The library circulation desk also accepts donations during regular library hours. For very large or estate donations, please call first.
