NORMAN — The Oklahoma City International Folkdancers will host French dance teacher Gyslaine Van Tilbeurgh at this year’s Old Country Weekend on Oct.18-20 at Cross Point Camp in Kingston.

Van Tilbeurgh will teach 16th Century bransles, line dances from Brittany; brisk Basque dances from southwestern France, as well as other dances from her homeland.

Van Tilbeurgh is visiting the U.S. with her husband, a meteorologist with the weather station in Norman. Van Tilbeurgh makes her home near Paris.

Don Weeda and Anne Alexander, from Austin, Texas, will provide musical accompaniment. Artist in residence Melissa Young will give a drumming workshop. Oklahoma poet and storyteller Carol Hamilton will lead a children’s session of silly songs and stories.
