NORMAN — The smell of corndogs and funnel cakes is in the air, and Oklahoma 4-Hers are preparing for county fairs, of which the top exhibits will be taken to the Oklahoma State Fair and Tulsa State Fair.
Some of the classes have been reworked at both fairs. All changes can be found at oklahoma4h.okstate.edu/
At the local level, most counties have adopted the class changes. The Cleveland County Fair has added an additional day, running from Sept. 5-8. For all information about the Cleveland County Fair, visit clevelandcountyfair.org. Fair books also can be picked up at the fairgrounds, 615 E. Robinson St.
The Oklahoma State Fair kicks off Sept. 13-22. Exhibit judging day is Sept. 11. The Tulsa State Fair opens Sept. 28 and runs through Oct. 6.
There will traditional livestock exhibits as well as exhibits that showcase breads, science and technology, photography and sewing, to name a few.
