NORMAN — Cleveland County 4-H members had two teams compete in this year’s Food Showdown, where teams are tasked with creating an entrée using secret ingredients and a 45 minute time limit.
The junior team consisted of Connor Young of Norman, Faith Shrabel of Lexington, and Rachel Lewis of Lexington. The senior team consisted of Kaylee Young, Lauren Schrank and Jessica Morrow all of Norman. Both teams competed in the Food Showdown during the southwest district contest held Jan. 26 in Lawton.
The junior team placed fourth and the senior team took second place which allows them the opportunity to compete at the State Food Showdown held during 4-H Roundup on Oklahoma State University campus in July.
