NORMAN — Aging Services Inc. has applications available for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
The program is designed to allow eligible seniors to visit the Norman Farmers’ Market and shop for fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruits. To be eligible for this program, individuals must be Oklahoma residents, be at least 60 years of age and have an annual income of no more than $20,665 for a single-person household or $27,991 for a two-person household.
Each eligible recipient will receive an EBT card from OKDHS good for $30 at the Norman Farmers’ Market. An EBT table is set up inside at the Norman Farmers’ Market.
Seniors can take their cards to the EBT table to be swiped and exchanged for tokens.
The tokens can be spent just like money with local farmers selling at the Norman Farmers Market. The tokens will be issued in dollar increments.
Aging Services Inc. can mail out applications to interested, eligible seniors. For more information, call Renee at 321-3200.
