NORMAN — Norman FFA members recently recognized the Cleveland County Friends of National Rifle Association for their generosity toward the Norman FFA Chapter.
The Norman FFA recognized the Cleveland County group with the Norman FFA Honorary Chapter FFA Degree at its annual FFA banquet in May.
Norman FFA members received a financial grant from the NRA that allows them to purchase clay pigeon throwers, clays, safety equipment and shells. T
he Norman FFA Clay Shooting Team competes in the fall at district and state FFA clay shooting events. More than 15 students meet regularly to practice, prepare and compete.
Students who are FFA members and part of the Agricultural Education program through Norman High School or Norman North High School are eligible to participate if they also have completed their Hunter Safety Training.
