NORMAN — The second annual Oklahoma Grave Digger Race — a five-mile obstacle race — will be Sept. 28 at Sparks America Campgrounds in Sparks.

During the five-mile race, complete with water crossings and obstacles, runners can take head-on or bypass any of the 20 obstacles, so the difficulty can be tailored to one’s personal fitness level.

For a registration fee of $50 to $75 (depending on the date of entry, military or team discounts), racers can choose what day and heat. Participants will receive a T-shirt, a medal and, for those at least 21-years-old, a beer token.

Grave Digger Race will support Individual, Elite and teams of racers (for discounts). Register online by Sept. 22 at eventbrite.com/event/6611875297?ref=ebtnebregn.

A percentage of the proceeds will go to Oklahoma’s Chapters of Bikers Against Child Abuse, a nonprofit organization that exists to provide aid, comfort, safety and support for children.

Participants will pick up race packets on the day of the race. Free tent camping and RV camping is available on-site at the Sparks America, as well as discounts to local hotels.
