SULPHUR — Wild blue indigo, Ragworts and Fleabane daisies are just some of wildflowers carpeting the forest and prairie at Chickasaw National Recreation Area.
Join a park ranger from the Chickasaw National Recreation Area for a wildflower walk at 10:30 a.m. Saturday along the trail at Veterans Lake. Learn to identify various wildflowers and a bit about these heralds of the season while on the walking trail.
Meet at the dam parking lot. Bring water, a hat and sunscreen, wear comfortable shoes and bring field guides, if you have them. The walk will last about an hour.
