NORMAN — Effective communication and high performance coaching skills are the objectives of a leadership training that Norman Addiction Information & Counseling (NAIC) will sponsor from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 1 at 215 W. Linn St.
Participants will better understand the communication process and how to take ownership in order to avoid miscommunication. They also will learn a high performance coaching model and how to apply it successfully with different types of personalities. The training is appropriate for anyone who is presently a supervisor and/or a manager and anyone with a desire to become a more effective leader.
The trainers and co-creators of the training are Alicia Curtis and Janie Dolechek. Curtis holds a masters degree in counseling psychology while Dolechek holds a bachelors degree in physical education.
The early bird registration is $89 but will increase to $109 after Jan. 25.
