NORMAN — Aging Services Inc. has applications available for the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.
The program is designed to allow eligible seniors to visit the Norman Farmers’ Market and shop for fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruits.
To be eligible, individuals must be Oklahoma residents, be at least 60 years old and have an annual income of no more than $20,665 for a single-person household or $27,991 for two-person household. Each eligible recipient will receive an EBT card from OKDHS, good for $30 at the Norman Farmers’ Market.
An EBT table is set up inside at the Norman Farmers’ Market where seniors can take their cards to be swiped and exchanged for tokens, which can be spent just like money at the Norman Farmers’ Market.
Aging Services Inc. will mail applications to interested, eligible seniors. Call Renee at 321-3200 and ask for an application.
The Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program EBT cards are good until the end of September.
