NORMAN — Ryan Kiesel, the executive director of ACLU of Oklahoma, will be the featured speaker tonight at a PFLAG Norman program in honor of GLBT History Month, which is celebrated every October. The event, which is open to the public, will be at 7 at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, on the corner of West Brooks Street and McGee Drive.
Marriage equality and the current legal landscape for GLBT persons in Oklahoma will be the focus of Kiesel’s talk.
Kiesel, a former Oklahoma representative, is an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma School of Law in addition to his leadership of the ACLU of Oklahoma.
Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is a support, education and advocacy organization with chapters across the United States and abroad.
