NORMAN — The Center City Vision project kick-off meeting is 6:30 p.m. March 26 in the Fellowship Hall of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 235 W. Duffy St. The meeting is free and open to the public.
The Center City Vision project is jointly sponsored by the city of Norman and the University of Oklahoma. Bill Lennertz, executive director of the National Charrette Institute, will facilitate.
NCI was selected as the lead consultant for Norman’s Center City Vision project. Other project team members include staff from the firms Opticos and Ferrell Madden.
The Center City Vision project area includes downtown’s West Main Street and Campus Corner, as well as residential neighborhoods in between, many of which are experiencing rapid change.
Project boundaries are roughly Gray Street on the north, Boyd Street on the south, the BNSF railroad tracks on the east and Flood Avenue on the west.
