NORMAN — The Norman Public Library will partner with the Cleveland County Election Board for a day of voter registration for this November’s general election, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 10.
Staff from the Cleveland County Election Board will set up in the lobby of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
“We encourage all residents of Norman to exercise their right as citizens to get out and vote, and look forward to working with the Cleveland County Election Board to do everything we can to inform the public about how to get registered,” said Anne Masters, Director of the Pioneer Library System.
Those who register will fill out an information form and have a card mailed to their home address, Election Board officials said. That card will give them the address for their polling place where they will vote Nov. 6.
The library event is one of the last chances to get registered for the November election. The final day to register and be eligible to vote in the upcoming election is Oct. 12. Residents may register to vote after that date but will not be able to cast a ballot in November.
Among the races for voters to consider are for President, U.S. House of Representatives, Oklahoma state senate and representative seats and a number of state questions.
