NORMAN — Three Norman Parks and Recreation Department events will kick off the holiday season:
· 22nd annual Holiday Celebration: Activities at 5:30 Dec. 6 and tree lighting at 6 p.m. at Andrews Park, 201 W. Daws St. Free hot chocolate, cookies, moon bounces and entertainment including the Kennedy Honor Choir & Stomp Team, Dazzler Drill Team, Jefferson Honor Choir and Sooner Theatre is available. Santa will attend.
· Breakfast With Santa: Starts at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Senior Citizens Center, 309 S. Peters Ave. In addition to a pancake and sausage breakfast, children can participate in a holiday craft project, candy cane hunt and visit with Santa. Tickets are $5 for per person attending and must be purchased in advance at the Senior Center, the 12th Ave. Recreation Center,1701 12th Ave. NE, or the Parks and Recreation main office, Building C, 201 W. Gray St.
· Santa’s Calling: Santa will phone children between 5 and 7 p.m. Dec. 9. Register a child for this event by going to NormanFun.com.
