NORMAN — Moore Norman Technology Center is offering Medical Data Privacy training from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Moore Norman Technology Center, South Penn Campus Room P111, 13301 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City.
This presentation on protecting medical data under HIPAA will includes discussion of protection methods for paper and electronic medical records, and cites examples of protection successes and failures. Tuition is $19 per person.
This session is targeted to a broad base of medical professionals to include clinicians, IT professionals, clinic managers and anyone who has any responsibility in the management or administration of protected medical information. The information will assist organizations in preventing hefty fines and penalties by avoiding violations.
This training session is HRCI certified and has been submitted for review and approval of continuing education hours for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems.
