Additionally, the restaurant will feature an Orange Julius, which offers eight fruit smoothies as well as Julius Originals.
Jones said including an Orange Julius was special to him because he worked at the Orange Julius in Sooner Mall in Norman when he was in high school.
To celebrate the opening, Dairy Queen is offering a grilled cheeseburger once a week for a whole year to the first 100 customers who purchase a Dairy Queen ice cream cake today.
With so many people anticipating the Dairy Queen opening, Steve Eddy, Moore city manager, said the city would have two police officers, as well as a motorcycle officer, on hand to direct traffic as needed.
To pick up a treat, regular restaurant hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., seven days a week.
