Teen leadership program applications due by Monday

NORMAN — Monday is the application deadline for the United Way of Norman 4REAL program. 4REAL is a leadership and volunteer group for high school freshmen. This program prepares participants for effective leadership in community service.

4REAL selects applicants who demonstrate a commitment to addressing the social challenges of today’s youth, a desire to develop personal leadership skills and an enthusiasm for volunteerism.

Some of the classes that will be offered over the eight-week program are team building, service projects and presentation skills. The class will meet one evening with the University of Oklahoma President’s Leadership Class.

The deadline is noon. The application can be accessed on the United Way website, unitedwaynorman.org/4real, or can be picked up at the United Way office, 2424 Springer Drive, Suite 304 and can be submitted electronically to dmurphree@unitedway-norman.org or returned to the UW office.
