NORMAN — A fundraiser for the Noble Fire Department has been set from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Riley Park, 1400 D. Mains St., in Noble.
Jarrid Matlock, Noble volunteer firefighter, said volunteer and full time fire fighters comprise the Noble Fire Department. He said small departments don’t receive a lot of grants that full time departments do, so Noble does fundraising on its own.
The fundraiser, held in conjunction with the Hampton-Noble Masonic Lodge #291, will benefit the Noble Fire Department with funding to provide Firefighter Personal Protection Equipment, station upkeep and fire apparatus equipment upgrades.
All are invited to a day of food, music and festivities at Riley Park. Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket while enjoying bouncy houses for children, hamburgers, hot dogs, Sno Cones, cotton candy, a dunk tank, hands-on fire equipment and family photography specials. Parking is available at Discover Church.
Admission is free as are the bouncy houses. Tickets for food and the dunk tank will be sold at the park for $1 the day of the event. All food purchases, as well as the dunk tank, will require tickets. Hamburger plates will require three tickets, hot dog plates, two tickets, Sno Cones, cotton candy and three balls for the dunk tank will require one ticket each.
A raffle will be held with the grand prize being one free meal a week for a year donated by Tiffany’s restaurant. Photography by Lorenz is offering a special where $100 from each $200 family sitting booked through Aug. 31 will be donated to the fire department. Noble Hampton Masonic Lodge will match the funds raised during the event.
The Noble Fire department wishes to thank its other event sponsors including Super C Mart, C.M.K. Amusements, LLC and Wolf Ink and Toner.
