County officials honor 4-H Youth Day

NORMAN — The Cleveland County’s Board of Commissioners meeting resembled a school classroom Monday as county officials celebrated 4-H Youth Day.

About 20 4-H members visited various county offices and attended the board’s weekly meeting. All received certificates of appreciation.

“I salute you on your spring break for coming up and participating,” said Commission Chairman Rusty Sullivan, District 3.

Commissioner Darry Stacy, like Sullivan, said he was a 4-H participant for many years.

The board also:

· Approved a low bid for lawn care services for the county and awarded a bid for up to 10 printer/copier/scanners for the treasurer’s office at a price of $5,375 each.

· Declared numerous items as junk from the assessor’s sheriff, District 2 and 3, and clerk’s office.
