NORMAN — Norman police investigators are looking for a second suspect in the homicide of Nicholas Williams, 20. Williams was shot in his home last month during an alleged burglary.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance to locate Latricia DeeAnn Vaughn, aka “Bell.” Vaughn is described as a black female, age 19, 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing 142 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Clay Bolin at 217-7774 or the police department at 321-1444.

Myron Lomonte Burris, 17, was charged with the first-degree murder of Williams two weeks ago. He told police he broke into Williams’ home with the intent to steal some things, they got into a struggle and he shot Williams, the affidavit said.

Burris lived in the same neighborhood as Williams, records show. The shooting occurred Sept. 14 at Quorum Condominiums in the 2100 block of West Brooks Street.

According to the affidavit, Williams suffered two gun shot wounds, one of which was fatal, hitting his femoral artery in his right leg. Williams called 911 for assistance after he was shot and made some statements to police before he lost consciousness and later died in the emergency room, the document said.

This has been the third homicide to occur in Norman this year.
