NORMAN — Britta Ostermeyer, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.P.A., has been named professor and chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She also has the Paul and Ruth Jonas Chair in Psychiatry and has established a practice with OU Physicians.
Ostermeyer comes to OU from Ben Taub General Hospital/Harris Health System and the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, where she was chief of service and had several director positions in psychiatry.
While in Houston, she also was an associate professor of family and community medicine for the Department of Family and Community Medicine and associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Baylor College of Medicine.
