NORMAN — The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art Association is pulling out all the stops today for an evening membership party full of auction items and grand prizes. The 2013 Museum Association Membership Party will be from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by an after party for Metro Arts Circle members from 9 to 11 p.m. at In the Raw on Campus Corner.
The event is hosted by the association and is intended for paid members, but the public is invited to attend and learn more about membership. Only paid members are eligible for raffle prizes throughout the evening. Silent auction items will be available for members and the public.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the association and an invitation for members to sign up for a New Mexico trip planned for Nov. 1-5. Paid memberships and funds raised during the evening are used to help acquire new artwork for the museum’s permanent collection.
More information is available on the website www.ou.edu/fjjma.
