The Associated Press

STILWELL, Okla. (AP) — Officials in Adair County have captured an Arkansas man who escaped from the county jail after allegedly mixing chemicals and prompting an evacuation.

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office says several agencies took part in the capture of 24-year-old Nicholas Ames, who was found Friday afternoon.

Tulsa television station KOTV reports that investigators received a tip that Ames was in Westville.

Ames, of Siloam Springs, Ark., was working as a trusty in the jail kitchen when he escaped.
