Group sets last show of year
The Oklahoma Travelers song troupe’s last performance of the year will be Friday, Dec. 7.
Reports that the group would perform this evening were incorrect.
Because of the holidays, there are no more gospel music evenings planned and only one more country music evening on tap, group member Joyce Swanson said.
“We will only have one more performance this year,” Swanson said. “It will be Dec. 7. We won’t have any more gospel nights because of the holidays falling in those weeks.”
That last performance will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 7 at the senior center at the southeast corner of State Highway 77 and Maguire Road.
“Singers are welcome to join in,” Swanson said.
Visitors are asked to bring finger foods to share while enjoying the music, she said.
After the first of the year, the Oklahoma Travelers will return to their performance schedule of the first and third Fridays of the month at the Noble senior center.
