NORMAN — The Firehouse Art Center’s 31st annual Chocolate Festival is quickly approaching, and organizers are in need of volunteers before the big day.
The event will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 2 at the National Center for Employee Development (NCED), 2801 E. State Highway 9.
Possible volunteer positions include preparing “to-go” boxes for attendees and setting up the main ballroom from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 1. Other jobs include helping vendors before the event, punching tickets during the event and helping pack up at closing during shifts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at the center, 444 S. Flood Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Tickets can also be purchased online at normanfirehouse.com or at the door the day-of the event.
Premiere tickets, $40, allow 15 samples from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Standard tickets, $25, allow 10 samples during later, half-hour sessions.
The festival is the center’s only annual fundraiser and membership drive. All proceeds support arts education, exhibits and programs at the center.
Vendors at this year’s event include: Abbey Road Catering, Abner Ale House, Amy Cakes, Canadian River Winery, Catering Creations, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Crimson & Whipped Cream, Custard Factory, Emma J’s Bakery, Eskimo Sno, Fancy That, Gigi’s Cupcakes, Interurban Restaurant, La Baguette, Legends Restaurant and Catering, LOCAL, Lohmann’s Good Things!, Matthew Kenney, Michelangelo’s, NCED Café, OKC Museum Café, OU Catering Department, Panera Bread, Sam’s Club, The Candy Basket, The Diner, The Melting Pot, The Mont and Unique Confections.
