OKEMAH — An Oklahoma Department of Human Services supervisor has resigned after being accused of submitting false travel claims.

Sherry Roberts, of Weleetka, quit Wednesday after being charged Monday. The agency said two workers also charged let Roberts improperly bill the state $25,258.

William “Bill” Wilson Jr., of Coalgate, was an area director, while Debra Winn, of Chandler, was a county director. DHS said Roberts had offices in Shawnee and Chandler but billed for travel from Okemah.
