OKLAHOMA CITY — Leadership Oklahoma, a statewide leadership program in its 26th year, is accepting applications for the 2013-2014 class of Leadership Oklahoma.
The organization accepts a class of 52 members each year. The criterion for selection includes demonstrated leadership. The program is designed to be a series of issue-oriented forums and experiences, which are based on the belief that knowledge is a key element and a prime motivator of leadership. It consists of an orientation session, a mandatory two-day retreat and eight two-day sessions.
“Leadership Oklahoma is creating a network of leaders whose increased awareness and commitment to service is energizing Oklahomans and shaping the state’s future,” said Joe Moran, manager of Lighthouse Properties in Tulsa and chairman-elect of Leadership Oklahoma.
Approximately 1,300 people from 158 communities have participated in the program. Local residents in recent classes include Anil Gollahalli, Garyl Geist, Jeff Bryant, Katie Kimberling, Diana Hartley, Carolyn Cummins, Marilyn Geiger, Penny Voss, Xavier Neira, Gary Armbruster and John Woods.
Applications may be downloaded from the Leadership Oklahoma website, www.leadershipoklahoma.com. Completed applications must be received in the Leadership Oklahoma office by 5 p.m. April 1.
