EarthFruits Frozen Yogurt opens in Norman’s University Town Center

NORMAN — EarthFruits Frozen Yogurt, a national franchise that blends a unique concept in fresh, low-fat treats with a warm café atmosphere opened at the University Town Center in Norman on Saturday.

The local EarthFruits Yogurt franchise is owned by Paul and Kelly Wright.

EarthFruits Yogurt offers a wide assortment of sweet and tart frozen yogurts.

Gluten Free, Low Fat, Non-Dairy and Sugar Free options are also available. Customers choose from a large toppings bar with more than 80 toppings, including fresh fruit, as well as cookies, candies and nuts.

The store opened at 11 a.m., with free yogurt for the first 25 customers and free gift bags for the first 50 people through the doors.

Grand opening festivities included music by 104.1, entertainment and family-friendly activities, plus 50 percent off every purchase.

Raffle prizes included mountain bikes, OK Thunder tickets and an iPad Mini.

The Wrights have aspirations to give back to the community, starting with the part-time positions it has filled with local high school and college students, as well as community fundraising efforts with local schools and nonprofit organizations.

EarthFruits Yogurt is a Utah-based company committed to putting back into the body what life takes out.
