NORMAN — According to the National Weather Service and Oklahoma Mesonet, Wednesday’s high was 70 degrees in Norman and 72 degrees at Will Rogers World Airport. Previously, the record cold high was recorded as 74 degrees in Oklahoma City in 1967.
The record cold high for today was 80 degrees, set in 1950 — another record the city could break.
The low temperatures have been cooler than average, as well. Wednesday morning, the low of 62 degrees at Will Rogers was just warmer than the Oklahoma City record of 61 degrees in 1891.
