Yard sale to benefit injured dog

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Animal rescue organizations are looking for donations to fund a surgery for a 12-week-old labrador retriever who was hit by a car and left to die.

Citizens Against Animal Cruelty Dog Rescue has teamed up with Forever Yours Animal Rescue to organize a yard sale to benefit the dog from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 519 E. Hughbert St. in Norman. The dog will receive an $800 surgery today to correct its busted leg.

β€œIt’s unbelievable that somebody would hit a 12-week-old puppy and leave him on the road and then take him to a shelter with his leg busted up,” said Jenny Patton, with Citizens Against Animal Cruelty Dog Rescue.
