NORMAN — Trips on a Tank Full  

The 2013 Trips on a Tank Full campaign will kick off Monday and continue through March 15 in various cities of Frontier Country.

Frontier Country Marketing Association staff will pick a member attraction or location to hide one suitcase filled with attraction tickets, a hotel stay and other items essential for a fun spring break in central Oklahoma.

Coupons offered in the free Trips on a Tank Full brochure include discounts at attractions such as Andy Alligator’s Fun Park & Water Park in Norman, Frontier City, White Water Bay, National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum, Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum and more.

To participate in the 2013 Trips on a Tank Full campaign and to follow the clues about how to win a Trips on a Tank Full spring break getaway in central Oklahoma, March 11-15, visit facebook.com/FrontierCountry.

American Red Cross launches Tornado App

This free app — available in English or Spanish — gives iPhone, iPad and Android smart phone and tablet users instant access to local and real-time information, so they know what to do before, during and after a tornado. The app includes a high-pitched siren and “tornado warning!” alert that signals people when a NOAA tornado warning has been issued in their area – even if the app is closed. An “all clear!” alert lets users know when a tornado warning has expired or has been canceled.

Shelter in place

Thunderground Storm Shelters, Inc., of Norman (www.thundergroundss.com) is offering discounts for Norman residents on underground storm shelters.

Cartridge World offers personalized services

On the heels of the recently announced superstore merger between OfficeMax and Office Depot, Cartridge World stores and other Norman-area retailers are offering personalized, expert services to businesses and consumers are welcoming new big-box customers.

Through April 30, 2013, Cartridge World stores in the Norman area are offering a special discount to OfficeMax customers. Any customer who shows their MaxPerks card will receive double discount rewards on Cartridge World products.
