NORMAN — Two temporary outages cut power to hundreds of OG&E customers in parts of downtown Norman on Tuesday morning.
Officials said the outage affected Norman High School, the school district administration building on Flood Avenue and several businesses and homes in the area.
An OG&E spokesman said a switch failed outside a substation and the load was shifted to another switch, which also failed. The first outage affected about 2,300 customers and the second one fewer than 50.
