NORMAN — Norman hosted its Veterans Day parade Saturday. The parade followed an approximately two-mile route from Main street in Norman, through The University of Oklahoma campus via Jenkins Avenue and was concluded by a ceremony and the Cleveland County Veteran's Memorial in Reaves park.
Military police of the 45th Infantry Brigade performed a 21-gun salute and Taps to end the Norman Veteran's Day ceremony at Reaves Park.
Reaves Park is home to the Cleveland County Veteran's Memorial. Any veteran with a personal connection to Cleveland County and honorably discharged from service may apply for engraving on the memorial service wall while Cleveland County veterans missing-in-action or killed-in-action shall be honored on the centerpiece column.
