Floyd then got onto Highway 9, going west until taking I-35 northbound and then Highway 9 eastbound when Norman police were notified and became involved.
The passenger who fled is not facing any charges for the incident, but he has been released to Cleveland County for two felony warrants, Cipriano said.
The vehicle Floyd was driving had been reported as stolen, he had a loaded firearm in his possession after a former felony conviction and possession of methamphetamine, Cipriano said.
Floyd was taken to McClain County jail, where he remained in custody Thursday afternoon but had not yet been booked in as of 3 p.m., according to jail officials.
