NORMAN — Norman fifth-graders will combine their voices to form a choir of more than 1,000 voices in the 26th annual Robert Lee Kidd III All City Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lloyd Noble Center, 2900 S. Jenkins Ave.
This year’s theme is “A Day in Nature” and will host Dr. Rollo Dilworth of Temple University in Pennsylvania as guest conductor for the second consecutive year.
Among the evening’s songs will be the first performance of a special piece by Dilworth, commissioned for the concert and titled “The Water is Wide.”
The choir will give the inaugural performance of the new “Norman Anthem.” Kidd was a longtime elementary school music teacher in Norman.
The Norman North High School Chamber Orchestra and various local musicians will provide accompaniment for the choir. Admission is $3 for adults and free for students and NPS faculty/staff with presentation of staff passes.
Guests are reminded that the east and north entrances to the Lloyd Noble Center will be open for optimal traffic flow. For more information, contact Fine Arts Project Coordinator Lynn Summers at 366-5870.
