NORMAN — Assistant Athletics Director Pete Moris said the SooneRVillage at the Lloyd Noble Center is expecting more than 425 RVs this weekend for the Sooners’ match-up against Notre Dame.
RVs were allowed to begin arriving Friday morning and must leave by noon Sunday unless previous arrangements were made with the Lloyd Noble Center Business Office. RV parking at the center requires an approved university parking permit.
Patrons are not allowed to reserve RV spaces for others. The center has the right to reassign any RV parking space assignment if a patron has not arrived three hours prior to kick off Saturday.
A game day shuttle will start three hours prior to kickoff that transports fans from the Lloyd Noble Center to the stadium. The shuttle will stop one hour after the game.
Tailgating is permitted in the parking lot. There will be “quiet time” at the site from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Staff and parking attendants will be the sole arbitrators on judging noise levels at the site.
There will be 24-hour private security at SoonerRVillage. All state and local laws will be enforced at all times.
The Lloyd Noble Center is open for patrons on Friday and Saturday for RV patrons to use the restrooms.
There are electric and non-electric RV parking areas at the center. A dump site and potable water station also is located on the southeast side of the Lloyd Noble Center along the parking curb off G.T. Blankenship Boulevard.
Weekend visitors are allowed to have gas and charcoal grills with covers, but open flames are prohibited. Hot coals and ashes must be placed in metal trash cans that are located near Dumpsters.
There are Dumpsters and recycle bins located throughout the RV parking area. Patrons are responsible for removing all trash prior to leaving the lot.
The site is also pet friendly. There will be a pet area with waste disposal stations located on the west-side grass perimeter of the parking area.
