Rights of veterans shouldn't be ignored

Editor, The Transcript:

There is no reason one of our veterans should be kicked out of a care facility for reasons of retaliation. A civilian should not have the right to have a paralyzed military veteran removed from his home of half a decade.

I am appalled that this travesty has been permitted to carry on for so long. Why? Because a defenseless man, scared and angry of the way he has been treated by an institution full of overworked, underpaid staff members.

Because of an administration getting revenge, by taking out their anger on a Vietnam veteran, after infecting him with MRSA -- E-coli diseases. Enough is enough. So what if he's tempermental and angry at times? Every care facility I've been to is full of angry, tempermental and scared people.

Shame on you, Norman Veteran Center administration. Shame on you, Martha Spears, executive director of State Department of Veterans Affairs, and shame on you, employees of the NVC, for allowing yourselves to be taken advantage of by the people that overwork you, underpay you and coerce you, to go against one of America's heroes. God help all our precious veterans.

RAYMOND GOODIN

Norman
