Vote conservative to avoid higher property taxes

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

Norman has an election April 1.

One part, which will be City wide, is for the ‘Safety’ sales tax increase.

I’m all for funding the fire department and the police department, but not a blank check for “such other lawful purposes.” Be sure and read the ballot, to the end. A sample ballot can be obtained on line, or in person, from the Cleveland County Election Board.

And we have a City Council race for even numbered wards, not including 8 because it is unopposed. I urge all of you to take the time to be informed and vote. There will be another Candidate

Forum on March 27th, City Council chambers. Property owners particularly need to be mindful of what the candidates stand for. There are many shiny ‘wants’ out there that the property owners could wind up paying for in the form of increased property taxes. Is that what you really want--higher property taxes?

If not, vote conservative.
