— Discuss Police and Fire Department capital needs and priorities
At our meeting on March 13, 2014, the CPSOC unanimously voted to support the renewal of the Public Safety Sales Tax on a permanent basis through a vote of the people on April 1.
We believe that the actions of the City of Norman during the temporary PSST period and the ongoing needs for public safety services, including maintaining the additional 71 fire and police personnel, more than justify the permanent approval of the 0.5 percent Public Safety Sales Tax. We urge our fellow citizens to support the PSST renewal.
