NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:
Everyone has been troubled by the school shooting in Connecticut. As I tried to digest this news, I made the following observation.
Many in the media have rightly commented about the “poor defenseless children” whose lives were snuffed out. Most of us have talked about it with sorrow and disgust during the past week or so.
To me, there is an irony in many people’s reaction to this monumental tragedy. Is it not strange that there is no similar response of outrage when, every year, thousands, perhaps millions, of “poor defenseless” human lives are lost in abortions of convenience here in America and throughout the world?
