Cartoon offensive to NRA members

Re: Nov. 22, 2013 Pittsburgh Post cartoon reprint

Your choice of reprinting a cartoon from Pittsburgh Post was offensive to me and probably to many others who are NRA members. One side of the cartoon is “JFK’s Legacy” with the eternal flame. The other side is a drawing of America in flames with “Gun Violence” and “NRA’s Legacy” at the top. “Criminal Legacy” would have been the truth.

I disagree that the NRA promotes violence of any kind.

All NRA literature I have read promotes law-abiding citizens the right to protect themselves (which is constitutional). The NRA is against any criminal having a gun, as am I. By the way, JFK, Bush and several other presidents are or were lifetime members of the NRA.

Please get your facts straight before reprinting items from other publications.
