Message to Hostess is clear

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

George Will blames union demands and younger generation food scolds for the end of the Hostess Twinkie. Nevermind that the unions made major concessions during the final bankruptcy proceedings and changing dietary attitudes played a significant role in the company’s decline.

Will also ignores the fact that Hostess CEOs ran up insurmountable debts, arbitrarily laid off workers and rewarded themselves with huge pay raises and bonuses.

The message to Hostess is quite clear: You can’t have your cake and eat it, too.
