’Tis the season

NORMAN — It’s time to hang the holly

And find the mistletoe.

Let’s decorate the tree

with colored lights all aglow.

’Tis the very best time

For greetings of good cheer

Sent to friends and family,

Both the far and the near.

The Christmas message is welcome

As we close another year,

And there’s that joy on Christmas morning —

“Look, look, Santa’s just been here!”

CAMILLE KAY BOGLE

  • Common Core fallacies

Editor, The Transcript: The article ‘Radioactive’ that discussed Common Core (Transcript, July 14) quotes the fallacy from Republican governors that Common Core is a Federal program; it is not. Many conservatives, especially those labeled ...

  • Voting for our priorities

Editor, The Transcript: Ok, let me see if I’ve got this straight. When the federal government ended its program of providing $13-$16 million in surplus equipment each year to fire departments, our state and congressional leaders ...
