On Tuesday evening, April 9, the Norman League of Women Voters will host a Forum on Education Funding at the K-20 Center in Norman, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The event will be part of a live broadcast, panel discussion involving seven communities from throughout Oklahoma. Panelists for the event include David Blatt of the Oklahoma Policy Institute, Brad Williams of the OSU?OKC Student Services, Sharon Rodine of the Oklahoma Institute of Child Advocacy, Terry Graham of the Burlington School Board, and Lavena Brown, a parent from Oklahoma City. The panelists will be speaking from Metro Tech OKC in Oklahoma City, with broadcasts to Tulsa, Lawton, Ada, Ardmore, Stillwater, and Norman. Questions from the attendees at the separate locations will be transmitted to the Panelists. Additionally, attendees at the local sites will engage in discussions on the status of education funding in our state and the impact it has on growing our workforce, as well as the impact of funding on the classroom and on the home.

The K20 Center is located at 3100 Monitor Avenue, Suite 209. Parents, educators, and members of community are encouraged to participate in this opportunity to discuss the importance of adequate funding for our schools, and the effects that decreased funding has had on our children and our classrooms.
